USA Baseball 2010 National Team Identification Series Team Mountain West - Regional Showcase
The Albuquerque Baseball Academy is partnering with the El Paso Sports Academy to identify players to play with Team NM/West Texas, at the Mountain West Regional Showcase, in Salt Lake City, July 29-31, 2010.
Team NM/West Texas Identification Camp Sunday March 14, 2010 El Paso Sports Academy 9 am (registration 8:30am) $35 Tryout Fee
Tryout information • Eligible players include players born in 1995, 1996, and 1997 • 8:30 am - Registration – El Paso Sports Academy • 9 am – 11 am, - Hitting & Pitching Evaluation – El Paso Sports Academy • 11:15 am – Stretch, run & warm-ups – Coronado HS (Weather Permitting) • 11:30 am – 1 pm - Running, Fielding & Throwing Evaluation – Coronado HS (Weather Permitting)
The Process is as follows: Step 1: Each state identifies players to take to the regional showcase. NM/West Texas is in the Mountain West Region, along with Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada. Step 2: Team NM/West Texas competes at the Mountain West Regional Showcase July 29 – 31, 2010, in Salt Lake City, UT. Step 3: From the Regional Showcase, players may be selected to play with Team Mountain West, at the USA Baseball NTIS, in Cary, North Carolina. (September 10 – 12, 2010) Step 4: From the USA Baseball NTIS, players may be selected to attend the USA Baseball National Team Trials. Step 5: Players performing well at the Trials, may earn the opportunity to play on the USA National Team.
